Hello West End F.C. members and friends
Welcome to the 202 season, which finally kicks off this week! We are looking forward to a more “normal” year. Though the hand sanitiser and check-ins will stay with us, this year we hope will feel more like a community club.

Men’s Masters
After a terrific pre-season friendly the opening round derby between our two mens over 35’s teams, Partisans and Kurilpa would have been the one to watch! Sadly the men’s opening rounds have been postponed due to all the rain. So the derby is off (for now) and the Fortifieds over 45’s also won’t be playing this week.
Women’s
At this stage we still expect the women’s games to go ahead:
- 6.45pm Friday 19th: West End Parmesans v Brighton Eagles @ Wakefiled Park, Brighton
- 3pm Sunday 21: West End Gems v Mitchelton @ Teralba Park, Everton Park
Q Comp – Open Men’s
This year our three open men’s teams, Lightening, Wobbegongs (previously the Worms) and Rebels are playing in the new Q comp league. They will be kicking off round 1 next week.
Our new club sponsor, and local West End business, Sportsplus Physio is offering aspecial deal for WEFC club members during the 2021 season:
– Initial appointment (1 hour long) = $95 (normally $125)
– Follow up appointment (30 mins) = $70 (normally $95)
Elyse, one of the practice Directors is also a WEFC club member. Their practice works with a lot of athletes, especially soccer players.
So no excuses this year, don’t wait till that niggling ankle / knee / hip turns into a season ending injury. Do your team mates a favour and give them a call!
